I am one of the ~~idiots~~ fans that went to go see the new Indiana Jones at midnight last night. One of the downsides to doing this is not knowing many other people who have seen it yet, therefore I can't ramble without spoiling. But there's something that I HAVE to WTF about.

A spoiler cut is in order. It isn't even anything major that happens, just the general gist of it. For all I know, EVERYONE knew it already but me.

When did Indiana Jones turn into the X-Files?? Anyone? Bueller? George Lucas?

Upside: I did like Shia LaBeouf.

All in all though, going to see Indiana Jones last night has me thinking one thing above all: How many days do we have before The Dark Knight and The Hulk?

I fell down the stairs yesterday. I'm ok, thankfully it wasn't head over feet.... just hitting every step with my tail bone, followed by the wood floor AT THE BOTTOM. Where I STOPPED. And the carpet on the stairs did a fantastic job of rubbing off several layers of skin on both arms from elbow to wrist. It looks like someone streaked fire engine red lipstick down my forearms.

Ahem. So yes, the loads of family that packed in for the Holidays are (mostly) gone.

I just wanted to give HUGE thank yous to a few of the wonderful girls on my flist that sent me things! Thank you to talitha78, shansgrl and luvmax1 for the pretty cards! The mail has done it's part to keep me sane these past couple of weeks.

Instructions:

Step One

1. Stolen from bloodygoodgirl, because I think it's one of the best things that can be done, especially around the holidays. Make donations to a local food bank. The thought of people going hungry is one of those things that will make me crazy and depressed if I think about it too long. It's sadly a fact of so many lives though, and donating is SO EASY to do.

2. Things from countries that aren't the US. I put this on my list every year because I think it's so cool, and I've gotten so many awesome things in the past. To clarify, I'm talking little things. A fashion magazine that's in Italian, a postcard from Ireland, a... coin from Africa. Just things that are unique or obviously from somewhere that isn't here. Be creative! Surprise me! Chances are, if you've been there or live there, then you know what I'm talking about better than I know what I'm talking about.

3. A Harry Potter keychain, either like this or this.

4. Starbuck's gift card. That never grows old, does it?

5. Funky socks that are colorful, steering away from pinks/reds since that seems to be the majority of what I already have.

6. Sony Vegas. This falls under the "I'll love you forever" category. Anold copy, an upload, some other cheap form that I'm missing, it's allcool. I just want to be able to give WMM the finger for good.

7. Anything from my Amazon wishlist. It doesn't even need to be from Amazon, I'm not at all opposed to hand me downs ;)

8. LJ time! It's the universal gift that we can all use.

9. Looooong necklaces. You know the ones that you have to double around your neck and are still long? Yeah, those. I LOVE costume junky jewelry, especially those long necklaces that are funky and cool.

10. A cool LJ layout with a rotating header. I can even make the headers for it, I just want a layout that's cool and unique and Supernatural themed. I'm kinda tired of my boring one.

Back from the con after driving 9 hours.

I know that I'm like the LAST Supernatural fan in the WORLD to get them but I just got both seasons of SPN on DVD for $52. Brand new. Sealed. I can't decide if I win for getting it at a good price or lose for not having it before now. When they aired, I recorded them all onto DVD's but it just isn't the same, damnit! I need commentary. Watched All Hell Breaks Loose Pt 1 last night. I got all observant during the last scene and after having it on my mind the whole day, I need to share my fit of masochistic angst!worship.

I know ya'll have seen it a gazillion times the same as I have but here it is, cut for spoilers, mucho angst and general stating of the obvious.

When he has Sam in his arms, right after he tells him that it's his job to look after his pain in the ass little brother... he pulls back to look at Sam's face and then pulls him in close and there's just this look. It's a "this is it. My little brother's gonna die here in my arms and for once, there's nothing I can do to save him" look. Like he not only hates that Sam's slipping away, but that it's in the middle of a dirt field. The whole scene is heartbreaking and so beautifully acted by both boys but that look kills me DED EVERY TIME.

I'm either tired or crazy. Either way, IT'S A GOOD LOOK, DAMMIT. (In that Dean, you angst so nicely sorta way. Shut up.)

I've been waiting to say this since Friday when I was scrambling down the highway between Joplin and Tulsa buying tickets on a cell phone that I threatened to throw out the window if it cut out on me....

JARED AND JENSEN AND ME, OH MY. I vaguely remember during one of the last episodes of season 2, watching and saying to myself, "Self. You MUST see one of the boys in real life before you die." And I am. Life is grand. blue_meridian dubbed the meeting J3 and I can SO live with being in the middle of that sandwich. Even if it isn't an actual middle. Or sandwich. Though if it was, I'd be happy just holding the camera... *cough*

The other awesome part of this arrangement? I get to do it all with bloodygoodgirl!! Who by the way, called me last night from the My Chemical Romance concert during my favoritist song... Which had me giggling for at least five minutes as she belted out the lyrics to Teenagers along with a gazillion other screaming fans.

Seriously though, I haven't posted much lately because one, I've been traveling so much and two, with the SPN hiatus, I'm just not fannishly motivated and my real life crap is too boring to share. But now that I'm convention bound in a little over 2 months? I'm not sure HOW I'm going to keep my mouth shut. Or my fingers still. Or whatever.

Since I keep saying that I spend more time away than at home, I come with proof in the form of pictures!

... Actually it's more of a way to share some pictures from my shiny new Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I'm in LOVE.

Most of the pictures are from Shiloh National Park. I also fell in love with taking black and white shots. Obviously.

Here's my Supernatural picture. I just... It reminds me of some spooky graveyard that we'd see in Supernatural. Sadly, the boys weren't off to the side all sweaty and digging a hole. Woe.

I've loved going to this cabin since I was a kid. It's overlooking Sarah Bell's orchard. During the civil war it was supposedly in bloom and when the bullets sliced through the trees the petals fell like snow.

As I knelt down to take a photo of this, some genius asked me if he was a relative. It took all of the power in my being to be nice instead of a smartass. I wanted SO badly to tell her yes, that Mr. Soldier was my great great great grandfather and that we called him Unk for short. *blankstare*

Tuttle monument had a turtle walking by it. I got the biggest kick out of it and had to take a picture.

Several days ago, duskwillow gave me a meme to do. I went to Little Rock for the weekend and completely forgot to do it!

Comment ( specifically ) and I will give you 3 interests on your list, and 3 icons, for you to explain.

She pretty much picked my three favorite things in life.

1. J2 - It has Jared. It has Jensen. Naked. I'm not really sure what else there is to say.

2. Jawyer - I recently tried my hardest to swear off of Lost. I announced that I no longer liked it, told everyone not to let me watch it... and then I got bored ~~a few~~ one Wednesday and then Sawyer and Jack HUGGED and I was back at square one. Jawyer. Because fist fights turning into rough handjobs against trees isn't something that I can pass up.

3. John Crichton - Snark, blue eyes and leather. In that order. Seriously. If ya'll haven't watched everydamnepisode of Farscape, you're missing out on a lot of happiness in life. He's crazy -sometimes literally- and he'll always be in my top three TV boyfriends.

Back to the Jawyer! crystalkirk made it and I love it. Sawyer can get Jack SO riled up and when the testosterone starts a-flyin', it usually means there's going to be man!sex to follow.

Haha. One of my all time favorite icons by teh_indy. Before J.J. Abrams got addicted to crack, there was a little show called Alias and anything that went wrong in life could be blamed on him.

Maybe now is where I should state that I would have Dane Cook's children. thesuthernangel has a whole bunch of his quotes as icons and sometimes it's hard to pick just one to use.

Last night? I had what I'm dubbing THE BEST DREAM EVER. Okay, so it wasn't the best a dream could be because there was a serious lack of Jensen or Jared, but I was making out with... okay. I'm not even sure who it was. It was Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but it might've been Denny. Or pre-demon John. All I know is that he was scruffy and sweet and playful a REALLY good kisser with REALLY skilled hands. And it was one of those long dreams, too. The ones that aren't blurry or rushed or segmented. Just me squirming around in his lap and waking up happy.

Now I'm off to watch the director's cut of this weeks SPN. I saw somewhere that they were up and they were good.
